WHAT TO EXPECT WITH NOVEMIK PORTRAIT JEWELRY
► We love making these special gifts for you, but wanted to share that engraving a photograph on metal is challenging as only black is engraved. NOVEMIK must convert your image to an engravable image of only black. For this reason, you should expect an abstract image with negative space where white or very light colors were in the original. The image may also appear more detailed from different angles based on the reflection of light on the metal. If you have a pet with lots of white or light coloring, we will likely need to add a dark background to help show definition.
► Please understand, proofs are not available we do not have a way to mimic the look of an engraving on metal so the the proof would not look like the necklace. Remember, we will be working from your actual photo to prepare it for engraving so in essence the proof is the photo submitted.
► Please don’t crop your photo prior to submission. In many cases this will result in too much negative space on the sides as a circle or space for the jump ring holding the chain is seldom accounted for. Unless otherwise instructed, we will crop the photo to best showcase your beloved on this necklace which is roughly the size of a quarter. In most cases, but not all, this will be a crop showcasing more of the face. We will place the name where it fits best on the necklace for the photo provided.
