This is a shorter version of our popular Flat Hat path light, specifically manufactured with turtle safety in mind. Standing 15″ tall with 7″ diameter hat, this solid cast brass luminaire projects an extra-wide beam of illumination while simultaneously protecting from any direct glare. This fixture is designed to prevent sea turtles froms being distracted by the light and coming inland, where they often perish. The wavelength of the included bulb provides adequate lighting for humans while being virtually invisible to sea turtles. Produces an approximately 6-foot diameter beam spread. For continuous illumination along a path, space these fixtures about 6 feet apart, depending upon the terrain. For independent pools of light, space about 8.5 feet apart.

Silicone plug at the 4-foot lead wire exit, preventing moisture and insect intrusion through the stem. Machine-threaded body screws tight onto an O-ring for moisture tightness. Beryllium copper socket is more corrosion resistant than regular copper.
