It is equipped with sound and vibration signals indicating the presence of metal objects. Alarms increase as the GP-POINTER approaches a metal target. The microprocessor circuit provides maximum sensitivity and does not require adjustment or fine tuning.

Additional features include a pinpoint tip, side scan capability, an LED flash light to help with low light hunting, a woven holster belt for easy portability, and a sifting blade to help remove soil during recovery.
