Let’s be very clear about this: if you want to feel proud of yourself and do a great job in the health care field, you need to learn and understand medical terminology.
It is a fundamental part of the future of your career. Which means you do not want to embarrass yourself and reach for a dictionary every time somebody asks you to explain different symptoms, diagnoses or tests. Oh, and knowing medical terminology makes you feel smart which is the best feeling in the world!
‘Nuff said, what are the benefits of appropriately learning the medical language? The boring (but very important) part
..NOT feel stupid and waste valuable time. Especially in emergency situations, you won’t have the time to extract things you don’t know from a dictionary.
